For those of you that have been following The Video Game Spectrum, you'll know that This Week in Gaming was once a recurring podcast in that we covered the latest gaming news and gave our take on them. It was a convenient way for listeners to keep up with the gaming industry in such a short amount of time.
Well now it has returned in podcast form, we've been using the name to track video game releases for the week of and don't worry that will still continue, as a replacement to the Untitled Gaming Podcast. So here it is, enjoy the first episode! What we're definitely going to do is shorten the podcast and lessen the topics because we went quite overboard for our first one.
What we discussed:

Grand Theft Auto IV Playthrough is Coming - Zack Assassins Creed Talk Wrap-Up
2008 is shaping up to be a great year for consoles. With PS3 finally hitting its stride and overcoming the negative press last year by showing the power of its 1st party exclusives such as, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword. And now, this year looks forward to such titles as Littlebigplanet, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, and the hit sequel to the PS3 launch title, Resistance 2. The 360 however had troubles in the past year with responding to the Red Rings of Death issue, hindering sales and delays, but coming out with Bioware's Mass Effect. 2008 looks to be different for the 360 as it looks to make its exclusives well known with GTA IV DLC, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Halo Wars, and the just announced Gears of War 2.
Who will win this year? I don't know, I can't say, the year isn't over. I know for sure that the gamers will win as we are treated to games, games, and more games. As for Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2, it's up to you to decide.
